This garden was not being used by the teenage children or adults in the family. The area nearest to the house felt overlooked by neighbours and was often too sunny to be comfortable. We were asked to create a mature, welcoming space that the whole family could enjoy.

A limestone terrace was introduced with a large cantilevered umbrella to provide shade and privacy.  Raised beds filled with lush planting add height to the garden and help frame a cosy seating area with comfortable outdoor furniture and a built-in bench. Hardwood trellis along the boundaries creates a sense of unity and privacy, while subtle lighting extends the garden’s use into the evening and makes it attractive to view from the house.
